New to UK circuit racing in 2010...
The team consists of Karl Davidson, Adam Moore, Carl Boyle and Claire Davidson. Although we occasionally have help from a couple more people behind the scenes. We are based in Northamptonshire, just outside of Kettering.
This site was put together to acknowledge those who give up their free time and often even more than that, forming the team that enables Karl to race his car.
Come and say hello at any events we attend.

Performance
The cars are regulated and have to weigh a minimum of 400kg with driver and fuel, which means a kerb weight of approximately 310kg. The engines rev between almost 12,000 RPM and 14,000 RPM depending on spec. Cars can see 0 - 60 mph in less than 3 secs or 0 -100 MPH in approximately 5 secs and can reach speeds exceeding 150mph. (Not our data)
It is this combination of performance and down force, which enables very high corner speeds resulting in very quick laptimes. A fast driver in these cars can out perform some of the more recognised single seater series that are regarded as the conventional stepping stone routes to F1.
Formula Jedi car lap times compare to some professional series and have and do hold some circuits fastest "outright" recorded lap times.

Series
We started racing in 2010 with a Jedi race car built for the manufacturer's series.
Our first race event in 2010 was with the Formula Jedi Championship, which is a one make series allowing restricted modifications. With Formula Jedi, the cars all run on genuine factory controlled parts. The principle is, it keeps all cars similar, to keep the racing close with focus on driving. It also stops people spending money on additional modifications to go faster, which could possibley create reliability or safety issues.
In the factory championship there are two classes. Our car was built to club class specification. The club class cars are almost identical to the cars in the other class; in the other class they are permitted to run engines that are 3 years newer.
However, following our last race in 2010.... which we entered with the Monoposto Championship, we are now looking to make some changes effecting how we proceed for the next couple of years.
